We now will have a limited number of screened ASCII-Art 20 GOTO 10 “hoodies” available for a short period of time. If you’d like to get one just drop by, they will be $35 and will be available to the general person starting Dec. 6th. Sorry I dont have a photo of them right now. I should have an online store up soon also of all the little kinds of things we have for sale.

Here’s a quick picture of the hoodie in action. They were screened by the folks at Ape Do Good here in San Francisco.

Whats Up

I haven’t really been using the blog yet.  I’m sure no one really reads most blogs but someone said I should post to it.

First off, we’re putting in some kinda shelving system in so we can carry stuff like t-shirts, books, and other kinda things that people put together for shows, and possibly some things that we like and want to sell on consignment.  I’ll probably put together a little online store too so what we have people can find out via the internets. It wont take up a bunch of space just a small area.  Also, I gotta get around to putting up curtains in the back area and the stairs so that it looks a little more sweet inside.

The first shows we have lined up for next year I am actually really excited about.  The first is an ANSI art show, something that should have been done years ago, but sadly was never done, and the entire artform is now extinct.  Luckily we know some of the original people from the scene and they are down to have us show the world some work that has never been seen before.  This is going to be a retrospective of sorts for art and artists whos credit is long over due, although a small show in a small unknown gallery is nowhere nearly enough.  I’m really proud to be able to present this work because its the kind of art that I grew up with.

In February, the one year anniversary of 20 GOTO 10, the art from #buttes is taking over the gallery.  I approached sam, the founder of sorts, explaining the idea of having a show, and he was definately down for it.  I really cant describe in words what it is exactly that #buttes does, I guess the art is sort of a digital mixed media of ascii art, ansi art, irc bots, DDoS attacks, forum crapfloods and basically all forms of internet hilarity.  Any time I see some more conventional artist painting pictures of boners, boobs and other sillyness, I can’t help but think, either they’re ripping off the internet chats or they just have no idea how behind the state of the art they really are. If it has to do with cockes, #buttes did it first.
