 bud melvin’s is a chicago singer / songwriter and artist John Poston who creates quirky pop gems and country anthems. the instrumentation of his music is comprised of unique combination of game boy, banjo, acoustic guitar or lap / pedal steel guitars. his vocal styling shifts from one song to another: once his voice is quiet and shy, next time his doubled vocals sound reminiscent how friendly monster might sound.

title says it all, bubblyfish laid down her gameboy powered beats real loud in the Prostor Abaton warehouse back in March and starpause was at the soundboard soaking up the .wavs. processed with breakaway so bypass that candy ’cause we already rocked it regulator style.

Jordan Gray (alias starPause or K9D) was running one of the first true netlabels ever - Broke Bunny and continues to run Mp3Death athat has been recognised by VORC and De:Bug for cataloging the sounds of handheld techno and the chip tune avant-garde. starPaus’s own music fits somewhere in between - body concious beats and mind-melting basslines crafted on pocket-sized consumer electronics with scene-built software.
