"Bloodlust"

BLOODLUST looks at the occupation of American soldiers in Iraq with a critical eye from an unexpected angle. Through a series of large-scale paintings wrought with religious iconography and subtle eroticism, the work seeks to raise awareness about life behind the front lines; a life deprived of compassion, visibility, and love. A secret life that cannot be asked or told, but may exist instead through images, in the most unlikely place and uncertain time of all.
